YOUR LOCAL KITCHEN DESIGN AND INSTALLATION EXPERTS

Frequently Asked Questions

We get asked a lot of questions about our kitchen design and kitchen installation services, so we've compiled a small list of our commonly asked questions below.

How do you resolve installation snags and aftersales enquiries?

We have a small team dedicated to clear up any issues or snags so please feel free to contact us at any time and we will act as quick as we can.

If you email [email protected] we will open a note onto your file and the appropriate staff member will be touch asap. We aim to respond to all aftersales enquiries in full within 48 hours.

In which areas do you offer delivery and installation?

We work all over the mainland UK for delivery and installation.

What does your installation service include?

Installation is “dry-fit” only – we are not insured or qualified to install plumbing or electric connections.

What are your payment terms?

50% deposit on order of your kitchen. An additional 40% once your kitchen has been manufactured. The remaining 10% is due on delivery or on completion of installation.

Can we make changes after our kitchen has been ordered and signed off?

Not within 10 weeks of your estimated delivery date as your kitchen is in production. Changes more than 10 weeks prior may be possible. Any such change will incur an admin fee of £120.

Do you supply handles and worktops separately?

We do supply handles separately. Please contact us for a quote. Worktops and appliances can only be sold with a kitchen as delivery costs would make it prohibitive to sell these at a competitive price.

Does the price on your website include painting?

Yes, the price you have on your estimate is the price you pay. It includes drawer boxes in oak, walnut or birch. All cabinets, drawer boxes and cutlery inserts are lacquered. Upgrades such as cutlery inserts, spice racks, skirting, shaker end panels will also be lacquered or painted.

How long will our kitchen take to arrive?

Approximately 8-12 weeks is our current lead time after you sign-off your final plans. This lead time can sometimes be shorter/longer depending on the work schedule in our workshop and the availability of materials during covid restrictions.

Do you deliver?

Delivery is something we provide, this is covered in your estimate and will be fully packaged, protected prior to delivery.

Do you come to our home to perform a survey?

If you have purchased kitchen installation as part of your package, we will come to your house to conduct a survey before your kitchen is sent to our production team. This service is included in the price. The survey helps to ensure that the measurements will work and that your kitchen will fit (provided you don’t make any changes to the room after the survey!). If any changes are made after the first survey, we will have to visit again for a site survey which is chargeable at £250 per visit.

Can we supply our own worktop and appliances?

Yes, for sure. Worktops, we can offer stone at market leading prices as long as you purchase it as part of a kitchen bought from The Bespoke Kitchen Project Ltd.

Do you charge for kitchen designs?

Technically no, we offer a free design service unless you want us to visit your property, in which case a kitchen designer will visit your property and discuss your ideas, choice of colours, shaker or slab style and the best way to maximise your space. We then issue a design with an estimate and send this out within 5 working days of the visit. We charge £350 for this service, but the amount is refunded in full if you buy your kitchen from us.

Do you offer "soft close" options on your cabinetry?

All of our drawers use BLUM soft-close runners. We offer BLUM soft-close inset hinge if butt hinges are not required.

What are your kitchens made from and where are they made?

All of our frames, doors and shaker drawer fronts are manufactured from beech which is a hard wood, it is then primed and hand painted in your choice of colour.

Cabinetry – all of our carcasses are constructed from lacquered birch ply or veneered MDF which is available in oak, walnut or ash. Everything arrives to you fully assembled and packaged.
